Ultrasound Therapy in Watertown

Ultrasound therapy on patient's knee

Therapeutic ultrasound is offered at ProAdjuster Chiropractic Clinic as a means to address a broad array of soft tissue injuries. It is a way we can help you reduce swelling, increase blood flow, decrease pain, and reduce joint stiffness. Ultrasounds use sound waves to micro-massage cells to improve local circulation and stimulate the repair of cells.

Some patients respond positively to a combination of Cold Laser Therapy and Ultrasound Therapy. When administered together, we are able to speed up the rates of your body’s healing and improve conditions that may be unresponsive to traditional therapy modalities.

Enjoyable Relief Care

Ultrasound therapy is carried out using a round-headed wand or probe that is placed in direct contact with your skin. Initially, you’ll feel the coolness of the gel used to enhance sound conduction. Then, you’ll likely experience a pleasant, warm feeling beneath your skin in the area that’s receiving care.

Most patients find relief on their first visit, although most conditions require 6 treatments for significant healing. Ultrasound Therapy appointments generally take 8-10 minutes, although they can be longer if additional body regions require treatment.
